Charlotte Marie Brumley was born January 13, 1932 and left this earth November 1, 2022. She was born in Los Angeles, CA to Ted and Hertha Miller.
Charlotte married Wendell Everett “Bud” Brumley on May 1, 1957, in Inglewood, CA. They loved each other for 60 years. She was a service wife and mother and travelled all over the world with Bud during their years in the Airforce. They lived in Japan, Germany and across the United States in Texas, Missouri, and South Carolina. She didn’t talk about her worries when Bud went to Vietnam. She was strong and tough and raised their three children while Bud was busy flying 162 combat missions. After 21 years in the Airforce, they retired to Mountain Green, Utah. Bud had flown over Morgan County years prior in his fighter jet and after seeing its beauty said, “this is where I want to live.” He and Charlotte loved the area and the friends they made there.
She took a job with Key Bank in Ogden and later retired after 30 years. She loved the people she worked with and the customers she helped. She had many hobbies that ranged from being the queen of cribbage to golf and bowling. The family always liked football and her team was the Dallas Cowboys. She would root for them in their worst years and was elated in their good years. She had a great sense of humor. She made us laugh until the end despite her memory loss and, more often than not, she got in the last word which was typically laced with sarcasm. She lived a good life, and we will miss her.
Charlotte is survived by her two sons, Wendell Loran (Allison) Brumley and Lawrence Everett “Larry” Brumley and grandchildren, Brooke Marie (Chad) Schilleman and Avery Patrick Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud and her daughter, Leeann Marie Tucker.
Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
