Charlotte Lee Elder Domenici
Charlotte Lee Elder Domenici, sweet wife, loving "Mama", and Booma passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009 from the devastating effect of stroke. She was born on May 18, 1940 to Pearl Louisa Richins and Orville Wesley Elder in Reno, NV. She was 69 years old.
Charlotte loved life and fought valiantly to try and stay here. The most important things in her life were the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her loving family. She loved people, and even a new acquaintance could not walk away without being engulfed in one of Mama''s ''never let go and suffocate you'' hugs. We think she still has not finished with all her hugging on the other side.
Charlotte graduated from Sparks High School in 1958 where she was active in extracurricular activities and even served as a student body officer. She served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Belgium/France from 1961 to 1962. She then met and married Narduccio Benton Domenici (Ben). They were sealed for time and eternity in the St. George LDS Temple on September 14, 1965.
Charlotte was an avid believer in education and graduated from U.S.U. with a Bachelors degree in English and Art History. This degree she obtained while raising 8 kids. One of her prized possessions in this life were ''her books.''
Charlotte was an amazing artist leaving behind many beautiful pictures for her family to enjoy. She loved family history and she submitted thousands of names from her and her husband''s ancestoral lines. Charlotte loved music and will always be remembered for her beautiful voice and the way that she could bring tears to your eyes as she sang "Climb Every Mountain" and "Oh, That I Were An Angel."
Charlotte loved to fish and will be lovingly remembered wearing her fishing hat and concentrating on catching ''Walter.'' She was an amazing cook and true to Italian family traditions, the unity of our family was built around the kitchen table laughing and savoring Mama''s exquisite culinary creations. Thanksgiving will never be the same without her.
Charlotte is survived by her ''angel'' husband Narduccio Benton Domenici, 8 children: Natalee Fristrup (Bryan); Nylan Domenici (Raquelle); Nalisa Bradley (Terry); Neven Domenici (Tracy); Nellis Domenici (Debra); Chris Domenici (Rachel); Tim Domenici; Mike Domenici (Desi); and 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved Beagle, Sadie, and her siblings, Shirley Cardinal (Wayne), Wesley Elder (Judy), and Alda Rae Elder
