Charlotte Louise Loren

Charlotte Louise Loren, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 15, 1943 in Mansfield, Ohio to Paul Herbert and Henrietta Martha Gertrude Smith.

Charlotte lived a life full of adventure, friendship and love. She lived life to the fullest and was a world traveler. She lived in Ohio, New Jersey, Kentucky, Illinois, California, Mallorca, Spain, Saudi Arabia, British Columbia, Canada, Libya and finally settling in Utah to be close to family.

She worked for Aerojet, Pool Arabia and as Human Resource Director for Shell Vacations before retiring. She was very important to her only daughter, Debi, grandchildren and new great-granddaughter. She spent every possible moment with them and lived just two doors away.

Charlotte is survived by two sisters Darla Morgan and Cami Messenger, a brother Paul Smith, Jr., daughter, Debi (Kurt) Larson, three grandsons, Erik, Alex (Mickey), Kyle, special namesakes granddaughter, Kari Charlotte and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Eileen. She was also survived by her mother who passed away two days later on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her father, step-mother, Mary Jo Smith, nephew, Keith Hammonds, and step-father William Reed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
