Chelsi Chavez

Chelsi Chavez OGDEN – Chelsi Chavez, 23, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Chelsi was born August 9, 1984 in Ogden, to Nance and Mark Chavez. Chelsi was a beautiful little girl. She had sparkling brown eyes, a button nose and the most beautiful smile. She had her grandfathers wrapped around her little finger from the day she was born. Her happy nature was infectious and she had a gentle goodness deep in her soul. Chelsi was the middle child. She learned to be a negotiator, instigator and peacemaker with her two brothers whom she loved very much. Chelsi gave her heart away to Leonel Guzman and they were the parents of two beautiful children, Fenoux and Kamaxxey. Chelsi adored her children and wanted only good things for them. Those who knew and loved her will miss her greatly. It was easy to spend time around Chelsi. She accepted those around her for who they were without passing any kind of judgment. She was an angel who graced our lives for the briefest of moments. The family would like to thank The National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI) for their support during Chelsi’s illness. One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: The word is “love”. ~ Sophocles Surviving are her son Fenoux Adrian Guzman and daughter Kamaxxey Guzman, both of Mexico; her mother Nance (Felix) Guzman, Ogden; father, Mark (Dora Lynn) Chavez, Ogden; brothers, McKael (Andrea) Chavez, Syracuse; Nicholas Chavez, Ogden; step-brother, Mickey Bushman, Ogden; step-sisters, Jeni (Joe) Nunn and Suzie (Jake) Grissinger, both of Ogden.
