Cheryl Ann Smith, 51, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015.

She was born March 24, 1963, in Fremont, Nebraska, a daughter of Ralph Henry Mahrt and Louise Marie Fritz. She graduated from high school in Leshara, Nebraska. After high school, she moved to Nevada and then to Utah, where she lived the rest of her life.

On October 1, 2004, Cheryl married Alan Robert Smith in Hooper, Utah.

She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of Military Order of the Coodies of Chuck Hole #4.

Cheryl enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, drawing and especially spending time with her family. She collected strawberries and Pegasus.

She is survived by her husband, Alan R. Smith, Hooper; her children, Cherie Mattingly-Craig, Nicholas Mattingly, two grandchildren, Riann Johanna Craig, Conner Bart Mattingly; her parents, Louise M, and Claus Matson, two brothers, Terry Wright, James Callaway, and one sister, Linda (Bob) Roop.

Cheryl was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Hass.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February7, 2015 at the Hooper 1st Ward, 5601 South 6100 West.
