Chester R. Pilarczyk

Chester R. Pilarczyk passed away on May 3, 2014 at home.  Chet was born on August 31, 1936 in Chestohowa, Texas, the son of Leon and Sallie Mutz Pilarczyk.  Chet graduated from Falls City High School, Falls City Beavers, in Falls City, Texas in 1954.  He was involved in playing football and running track.  Chet married and was later divorced.

Chet retired from Thiokol Corp (ATK) Production Control Space Operations Final Assembly after 33 years of service.  Chet was a member of Saint James Catholic Church, also the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #2472 in Ogden, Utah; the American Legion in Huntsville, Utah; and VFW in Ogden, Utah.  He also enjoyed trips to Wendover.

Chet is survived by his three sons, Rick (Shelly) Pilarczyk, Hooper, Utah; Larry (Lainie) Pilarczyk, Honeyville, Utah; James (Jeana) Pilarczyk, Layton, Utah; a daughter, Lori Pilarczyk (Paul) Patterson Russell, Morgan Utah; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon (Alice) Pilarczyk, San Antonio, Texas; and a sister, Margaret Kolodziej, Chestohowa, Texas.

Chet was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison Blvd., Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.

Following services a catered lunch will be provided at 3461 South 5500 West, Hooper.
