Chris Tebbs

Chris Lee Tebbs, 53, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007.

He was born October 4, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Calvin C. and Shirley V. Fortier Tebbs. Chris was raised and educated in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School.

He served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1976 during the Vietnam War.

He married Kathy Bueno in 1979 and they were later divorced. On June 25, 1994, Chris married Tammie Tuft Jones in Hooper, Utah.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Chris worked for American Airlines for 25 years. He was Chairman of the Transport Workers Union Local Chapter # 505. He had just started a new career as a truck driver with Tramcor Corporation.

He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, his Harley, the outdoors and especially loved his horse, Buck. In his younger years he loved racing his car and riding his motorcycle.

Chris is survived by his wife, Tammie; a son, Brian Jones, Ogden; a daughter, Jennifer Jones, West Haven; his father, Calvin; Salt Lake City; a brother, Douglas (Carolyn) Tebbs, Salt Lake City; and a sister, Joan (Greg) Merrill, London.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-mother, Beth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, Roy, Utah.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10: 45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
