Christina M. Dawson

CLINTON a€" Christina Marie Jeppesen Dawson, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at her home from heart failure on Friday, October 16, 2009. She leaves behind her loving husband, David Ronald Dawson, and one of the greatest joys of her life, her son, John David.

Christina was born May 21, 1968, to Charles L. and Mary Jo Poppleton Jeppesen.

Christina and David were married on July 2, 1988. On July 1, 2006, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Christina graduated from Box Elder High School in 1986. She went on to ITT Technical College and earned her Associates Degree in Electronics. Christina just recently graduated from Vista College with her Medical Assistant Certification and recently started her required internship. In between her degrees, she spent 13 years on the road with her loving husband, David, team-driving semi-trucks all over the United States. They had a very close, loving relationship and Christina attributed part of that to spending so much time with David.

Later in life and after many struggles with health and being told a child would never be possible, Christina and David were blessed with a miracle in their lives: John David Dawson. Christina promptly set out being a loving mother and "lovingly spoiling" her son.

Christina was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she and her husband team-taught the Valiant 10 Primary class and the 14 year olds in Sunday School for the past several years. She often spoke of how much she enjoyed this calling and when asked if she was ready to give it up, promptly replied, "No".

Christina was very talented in the computer world. She could install, trouble shoot, and completely rebuild, when necessary, a computer. She loved the challenges this presented. Christina was also talented in needlework and loved to cross-stitch.

She is survived by her husband, David Ronald Dawson, son, John David Dawson, mother, Mary Jo Jeppesen, siblings, Charles (Holly) Jeppesen, Bruce T. Jeppesen, Shirley (Erve) Kennedy, Alan (Jana) Jeppesen, Eric (Melissa) Jeppesen, and many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Jeppesen, Sr., brother, Dean R. Jeppesen, brother-in-law, Erve D. Kennedy, and grandparents, Thomas B. and Johnanna Poppleton and Raymond R. and Florence Emma Nelson Jeppesen.

Christina, you will be missed by all of us and we love you very much.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 20 at 10 a.m. at the Clinton 27th Ward Chapel, 1708 West 800 North.
