Our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, Christine Allen passed away suddenly on February 4, 2014 of a brain aneurism.  She was born on December 18, 1955 to Keith William and Carma Phelps Coleman.  She was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School.

Chris married Leslie Darrell Allen on September 2, 1977.  They later divorced.  Together they had three awesome children, Joe, Jen, and Jake. They blessed Chris with 13 beautiful grandchildren.  They were the light of her life.

She was retired from Internal Revenue Service after 25 years of service.

Chris lived her life as a free spirit.  She loved delving into the unusual and unknown.  She loved the outdoors, enjoying her flower gardens, and camping with her family.  She loved having family and friends come over and enjoy her cookouts which were always delicious.  Chris was loved and admired by anyone who knew her.  She was a gentle soul.  We will miss you so much.  May God be with you until we are together again.

Chris is survived by her three children, Joe (Brooke) Allen, Hyrum, UT; Jennifer (Tim) McCann, St. Marys, KS; and Jacob Allen, Preston, ID; parents, Keith and Carma Coleman, Ogden, UT; and sister, Pam (Blaine) Hansen, West Weber, UT.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie McCann, and grandparents, George and Stella Phelps and William and Thelma Coleman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Cremation to follow.
