Christine (Herrera) Jessop
“Nana”
October 31, 1942 ~ February 20, 2021
(age 78)
Our beloved Nana passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She has joined her Heavenly Father and is reunited with her loving granddaughter, Amber, who passed before her.
She was born in Delta, Colorado on October 31, 1942 and was the fourth of five children of Nash and Sarah Herrera.
She is survived by her two children, Tamra Stein Kennedy and Bryan (Jeanine) Stein; her grandchildren, Garrett, Quincey (Keith), Nate, Jaycelyn, Addyson, Berkley, and Connelly; her great-grandchildren, Adyn, Jasper, and Mila; her siblings, Frances (Bernie) Salazar, Dolores (Louie) Martinez and Marylou Mayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Herrera and her granddaughter, Amber Stein.
More than anything, she cherished being Nana to her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their children as well. Nana poured her whole heart and soul into caring for her family and was a perfect example of unconditional love. Everybody knew they could show up to Nana’s house at any time and she would welcome you with open arms and a pot of coffee. Nana could talk to her family for hours! She had the ability to remember specifics about memories that we had forgotten. She had the best stories and listening to her retell them was so comforting. It felt like Nana always had the right answers to your questions and always knew the right thing to say. These special visits with Nana are memories our family will cherish forever.
Per Nana’s wishes, she will be cremated and placed next to her beloved granddaughter, Amber. She has requested no services.
The family asks that you say your own personal prayer for Nana and remember all the good times you spent with her.
Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
