Christopher Evan Carter 8/5/65-6/11/07

Christopher Evan Carter son, brother, friend, husband and father, died Monday, June 11, 2007 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Chris was born on August 5, 1965 to Shirley Kimber Carter and Ervin Lloyd Carter in Ogden, Utah. Chris was raised in the town of Uintah with his brother Kim and his sister Nance. Chris enjoyed skiing and riding his dirt bikes with his friends during his youth. Chris had a passion for fast cars. He loved to visit Bonneville Salt Flats to watch the races. He owned a 1971 Chevy Camaro that he drove down the beautiful Oregon coast one summer.

Chris was educated in Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1983. He was five years old when he lost his father to cancer. Chris was blessed when his mother married Ronald W. Clark in 1982. Ron taught Chris to pound a nail and the two shared in a successful roofing business for years.

In 1989 Chris married Catherine Madson. They enjoyed seventeen years of love and friendship together. Chris and Cathy were blessed with three beautiful children, Calli, Jessica, and Tate. Chris was a wonderful father and husband. Chris had a unique sense of humor. He enjoyed teasing those who he loved the most. He had a friendly, easy going nature that made him comfortable to be around. The world was a better place with him in it. He was preceded in death by his father Ervin Lloyd Carter. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Ron and Shirley Clark of Uintah; his brother Kim Carter (Kristine), Santa Clara, UT; his sister Nance Guzman (Felix), Ogden, UT; and his children Calli, Jessica and Tate, Uintah, UT.

God hath not promised skies always blue, flower strewn pathways all our lives through. God hath not promised joy without sorrow or peace without pain... But... God hath promised light for tomorrow and sun after rain. God hath promised his undying sympathy, light from above, unfailing comfort and his never ending love.

We will miss you Chris.
