Christopher Markus Kirvan, 17, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 following a tragic accident.

He was born July 28, 1992 in Minot AFB, North Dakota to Eric Duane and Kelly Lynn Amirante Kirvan. He was raised in Minot, North Dakota, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Roy, Utah. The majority of his school years were spent in Roy, where he graduated from Roy High School in 2010.

Christopher loved sports. He played football and baseball for Roy Recreation, and continued with football and ran track for Roy High School. He was preparing to attend Utah State University majoring in Graphic Design. He wanted to be a graphic designer like his cousin, Evan and was inspired by his Roy High teacher, Mr. James.

Christopher loved spending time with his friends and he was a true friend. If you became his friend, you were his friend forever. He loved life and everything it had to offer.

He was naturally a shy person, but once the wall was down his bright and loving personality always shone through.

Christopher is survived by his parents, sister Jessica Analynn Kirvan; grandparents, James and Kathleen Amirante; a great-grandmother, Pauline Chute; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Doris Kirvan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 22nd at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet friends for a viewing on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 at the mortuary.

A candle-light vigil will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Roy High School football field. The gates will open at 7 p.m.

The family respectfully suggests that donations be made in Christopher''s name to the Weber District Foundation c/o Roy High School, 2150 West 4800 South, Roy, Utah 84067.
