Cindy Marlene Wheelwright, 61, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

She was born February 24, 1951 in Powell, Wyoming to Emet and Pearl Webb Dicks. She was raised and educated in Powell and graduated from Powell High School in 1969. She obtained an Associate Degree from Billings Business College and graduated from Beauty School in Utah.

Cindy married her high school sweetheart, Rick Tanner, which is what brought her to Utah. She was blessed and welcomed with open arms by Mel and Alice Tanner. They later divorced. She later married the love of her life, Val Wheelwright and had 28 wonderful years of marriage. Together with their parents, Emet and Pearl Dicks as well as Earl and Frances Rushmer they enjoyed multiple trips and cruises.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed doing Temple work.

Cindy was a member of the Ogden Eagles Auxiliary for over 35 years and served as President. She enjoyed helping with fund raising, charities and ritual competitions.

She enjoyed crafts, camping, her grandkids, and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy is survived by her children, Shad Tanner (Liah Baron), Joel (Rheannon) Tanner, Chelsea Neal (Trent Gibson), Bobbi (Craig) Charlesworth, Greta (Paul) Hutchinson, Jerilyn (Brett) Rockhill, Regina (Joe) Faxon, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Dee (Vicki) Dicks and Hal (Barbara) Dicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Kenny.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 20th at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 24th Ward Chapel, 1150 East 2600 North. A celebration of Cindy''s life will follow the memorial services at the Eagles Lodge (FOE) at 975 Wall Avenue at 1:30 p.m.
