Clair E. Bouwhuis
PALM DESERT – Calif. – Clair Eugene Bouwhuis, 59, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Palm Desert, California of cardiopulmonary arrest.
He was born March 24, 1949 in Ogden, a son of W. Chris and LaVora Mae Pinkham Bouwhuis. He was raised and educated in Ogden moving to Palm Desert in 1984 where he resided until his death.
Clair was a partner in Bouwhuis Enterprises of Palm Desert.
He was a member of Sigma Fraternity of Weber State College. Clair enjoyed fishing, golfing, welding and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Gentry (Alissa) Bouwhuis, North Ogden; Lisa Reynolds, South Ogden; and five grandchildren.
Clair is also survived by his parents, W. Chris and LaVora Bouwhuis, North Ogden; and two brothers, Brent W. Bouwhuis, Palm Desert, CA; and Lee Chris (Julie) Bouwhuis, Plain City.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ray C. Bouwhuis.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
Family will meet friends at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
