Claire Victoria Peterson

June 20, 2016 — April 12, 2025

Centerville

Claire completed her earthly journey and began her heavenly adventures on April 12, 2025, after bravely battling an illness.

Claire was born on June 20, 2016, to her very proud parents Nathan and Katie Peterson. Shortly following her birth, Claire was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease: Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata, which meant she would not be in this world long. Despite being told Claire would only live to be two years old, she was indeed a miracle and lived eight happy and wonderful years with her family.

Claire was blessed in life to have the company of a caring younger brother, William and a sassy little sister, Olivia. They loved her and were anxious to help, play, and spend time with Claire.

Claire was a happy little girl who was quick to smile, laugh and giggle. She loved all things shiny and sparkly, and her many toys consisted of bright lights. Some of Claire’s favorite activities were snuggling on her dad’s chest, going on family walks, being loved by her siblings, going to school, spinning in her chairs, being danced and dipped by her mom, and swinging with her family on the backyard swing. Claire also enjoyed watching her favorite shows: Little Baby Bum and Princess Sofia.

Despite all of Claire’s physical and mental limitations, her life was very full and she, time and time again, proved her extraordinary toughness. We gain peace and comfort knowing she’s no longer bound by those mortal obstacles, and know she’s excitedly talking, singing, jumping, running, and playing without constraints, and is enjoying the company of family, and the many children in the disability community who have gone before her.

A viewing is to be held: April 22nd from 5-8:00 pm and April 23rd from 9-10:30 am. Funeral services will begin on April 23rd at 11:00 am.
