Claire Cook Walker, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on October 1, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1943, to Ted R. and Juanita Russell Cook in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Davis High School in 1961. She married John Kent Walker on December 29, 1962, in Clearfield, Utah. Together they had three children. Claire had a love for the outdoors and camping. Having spent several of her years hunting, fishing, boating, and sand railing with her family and friends. She had a secret talent for oil painting and was an avid collector of porcelain dolls. She was a fantastic cook and spent countless hours each year preparing the perfect holiday meals. Her homemade chocolate cake was always a requested treat at family gatherings.

Claire is survived by her husband of 61 years and her three children; Michael Walker, Penny Hitchcox (Dewayne), Stacy Walker, three grandchildren, three great grandchild, and her siblings; Karen Kirkman, Brian Cook (April), Shelly Hamblin, and Tim Cook (Sue). Proceeded in death by her parents and three siblings, Gayle, Jeanette and Corey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
