Clara Neilson Krebs, age 95, passed away peacefully May 5, 2011, surrounded by her family at home in Kaysville, Utah. She was born January 17, 1916 in Washington, Utah to John T. and Ella Barlocher Neilson.
Clara attended Dixie Collage. She met her husband, John Philip Krebs, who was teaching high school. They were married in the St. George Temple on June 4, 1939. They are the parents of Geri Brown, John M. Krebs (Judy), Dwight D. Krebs (Martha), Roger Krebs (Carey), and LuAnn Kofoed (Steven). Clara and Phil have 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, three sisters and two grand-daughters, Megan Krebs and JoAnn Krebs.
Clara will be remembered for her strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She has served faithfully in her callings and has served two missions. She truly was an elite lady.
She enjoyed the ladies in the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Association, who inspired her many years of compiling family histories. She also enjoyed her friends in a neighborhood club.
She will be remembered for her great cooking, canning, gardening, and her love for growing and arranging flowers. She loved going to the temple. She was sensitive to those in need, showing compassion by providing meals and assistance. She truly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sharing time with them. She was loved and will be missed by all.
Thanks to Vista Care Hospice, Mindy and Ilene. Also to the 24-hour Caregivers, LuAnn, Amanda, Shiloh, Kat, Christine, Kathy, and many others who have helped over the past 4 A½ years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, at 2 pm at the Kaysville LDS 9th Ward, 600 E. 200 S., Kaysville, Utah.
Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, and Wednesday from 12:30 a" 1:30 pm at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
