Clarence Cecil Cain

Clarence Cain, age 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of October 4, 2013.

He was born in Evanston, Wyoming on July 13, 1927 to David LeRoy and Martha Miller Cain. He moved to Ogden in 1929 and married Wilma Cunningham in 1956. They later divorced. In 1996, Clarence married Shirley Maylett Cain and they remained married until the time of his death. He worked most of his career at Wheelwright Lumber Company where he retired after more than 40 years.

Clarence was an avid Utah Jazz fan, sticking by them through thick and thin. He also thoroughly enjoyed square-dancing for over 40 years with the Red Hots. He spent a lot of his time traveling the world with his wife Shirley, and always had fun stories to share.

Clarence had two children from a previous marriage: Cecil Clarence Cain and LeRoy Cain. While married to Wilma, they had five additional children: Robert D. (Roxanne) Cain, Sally Ann (Berry) Pierce, Sandra Jean Fuit, Susan B. (Kelly) Nye, and William Lee (Valerie) Cain. He was the proud grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Doris, June, and Dorothy whom he loved dearly.
