It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Clarence Jones, age 69, who left this world peacefully on February 10, 2025, at 9 p.m. Born on October 19, 1955, in Clearfield, Utah, Clarence was a beloved son, father, and friend whose impact on the lives of those around him will be remembered forever.
Raised in Ogden, Utah, Clarence attended Ogden City Schools, where he distinguished himself as a standout athlete at Mound Fort and Ben Lomond High School. After graduating, he pursued further education in Pueblo, Colorado, laying the groundwork for a successful career.
Clarence married Cathy, and together they welcomed their cherished children, Nathaniel and Kari Stanford. While he later separated from Cathy, his love and dedication to Nathaniel and Kari remained unwavering, and he took great pride in being a father.
Professionally, Clarence began his career as a tile setter before joining ATK, where he worked his way up to the position of supervisor, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues along the way. His passion for sports led him to become a referee for the state of Utah for many years, a role he approached with dedication and integrity.
Outside of work, Clarence had a zest for life that was evident in his love for fishing, playing sports, and spending quality time with family and friends. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and created lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.
Clarence was the oldest of ten children and he leaves behind his siblings, Roxane, Renae, Bruce, Denise, Melvin, Alincdor, Nicole, and Kelee Jones; half-sisters, Hazel and Brenda Holston; two granddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family who loved him.
