Clarence “Rocky” Rockwell, age 97, of Bountiful, Utah passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Born on April 14, 1920 in Council Bluffs, IA. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Pauline Swoboda Rockwell; parents, Ralph and Katherine Rockwell; brother, Harold Rockwell; sister, Eileen Norman. Survived by his sisters, Kathryn White, Beverly Bowers and Janet McDole; six children, Elizabeth Jensen (Ted); Barbara Proffitt (Jim); Stephen Rockwell (Shere); Daniel Rockwell (Anita); Charles Rockwell (Pamela) and Donald Rockwell (Kyle); 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Rocky retired after 43 years at Union Pacific Railroad. He was blessed with 37 years of retirement. He was active in St. Olaf Catholic Church; 4th Degree Knight in St. Olaf Knights of Columbus. Rocky served in the Army/Air Force from 1943-1949.
Friends may visit family Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Funeral Mass will be held, Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 11:00 am at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful, Utah. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in memory of Rocky to St. Olaf Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
