Clarice Chadwick Ransom

April 8, 1929 – October 28, 2016

Clarice Chadwick Ransom, 87 passed away peacefully on Friday October 28, 2016.

She was born April 8, 1929 in Whitney, Idaho, the daughter of James Adam and Tomina Martina Jensen Chadwick. She was 10th of 11 children.  She spent the last 6o years of her life living in Layton Utah.  She enjoyed having her kids and grandchildren around her, loved to garden, enjoyed her summer camping and fishing trips.

She worked for the Davis County School District as a cook for over 20 years at Central Davis Jr High School.

She married Blake Ransom on April 14, 1948 in the Logan Temple.  This eternal union resulted in a family of six children.  She held several callings within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters, Blake Ransom (Layton, Utah), Bonnie (John) Hamer (Layton, Utah), Randy (Judy) Ransom (Spokane, Washington), Steven (Pam) Ransom (West Point, Utah), Kelly Ransom (Wanda) Harrisville, Utah, Cindee Miller (Franklin, Idaho) and Debbie Ransom (Pleasanton, California); 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild; four sisters, two sisters- in- law. She is preceded in death by her parents, twin granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany Adamson, two brothers, one step-brother and four sisters.

The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Wade Larson, the nurses with Hearts for Hospice Home Health Care, and a big thanks to Fairfield Village staff for all the love and care they gave our mom.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. the Layton Park Ward, 789 E. Wasatch Drive, Layton.  Friend may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
