Claudean Lewis

December 13, 1939 — June 27, 2021

Alice Claudean Lewis, born December 13, 1939 in High Point, NC to Thallis Fulk and Helen Ward. Claudean returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven on Sunday June 27, 2021.

Claudean called Clearfield, UT home for over 50 years. Many wonderful memories and friends were made there. Claudean married Harry White and had five children. Harry passed away in 1993. She then married John Leslie Lewis December 15, 1997. John was a wonderful husband to Claudean and they built a wonderful life together. Claudean’s children will be forever grateful for “Papa John” and the love he showed them and especially the way he loved their mother and how well he took care of her. Her life with John was definitely her happily ever after.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and served in numerous capacities. Her favorite calling was just serving others anywhere the Lord needed her. She loved the youth and children she served, and they loved her.

Claudean had a special energy and personality that drew so many people to her. Those who attended any summer picnics with mom knew her love for starting water fights and always blaming it on someone else. Her sense of humor is what will be missed the most. She had an infectious smile that lit up the room, and her laughter that always left you wondering what she was going to do next?

Claudean worked for America First Credit Union from 1969 and retired in April of 2002. She worked hard to provide for her children. She taught them the value of hard work and would often say “hard times will always come but the Lord will always be there too.”

Claudean is survived by her husband, John Leslie Lewis of, Roy, UT; four children and five step- children, (Tim Deceased); Wendy White, Sunset, UT; Valerie (Kerry) Talbot, Syracuse, UT; Tammy White, North Ogden, UT; Landon (April) White, Roy, UT; Kandie (Kevin) Walter, Roy, UT; Randy (Kay Deceased) Phythian; Wendy (Scott) Calvi, Great Falls, MT; John (Kiessa) Lewis, Taylorsville, UT; Steve (Jen) Lewis, West Haven, UT; Jenny (Trent) Reber, Providence, UT; Larry (Kate) Lewis, Plain City, UT. Claudean is preceded in death by her husband Harry White, her son Timothy Vance White and step-daughter Joan Kay Phythian. Claudean has 33 grandkids and 35 great grandchildren with three more greats on the way this year. She leaves behind a great posterity, and they all loved her greatly and will miss her teasing them and making them all feel special.
