Claudia J. Nance 1943-2013 Claudia J. Nance, 70, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born June 3, 1943 in Cove, Utah the daughter of David and Norma Preece Burden. Married Jay Young Nance, April 15, 1961 in Layton, Utah. Claudia was reared and educated in Layton and graduated from Davis High School in 1961. She was a member of the LDS Church. Claudia served for the past few years on the Montello, NV City advisor board. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, fishing, hunter and camping. She is survived by her husband Jay; son Val Jay Nance (Cheryl), daughter Leena Carroll (Steven); grandchildren John Paul Carroll, Courtney Carroll, Myles Nance, one great grandson Kayden Carroll and sister Barbara Bailey. Preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janice Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Montello Community Hall, Montello, Nevada. Viewing will be held from 11:45 am-12:45 pm prior to services. Interment Montello Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
