Cleo Verlene Bowman Beus Jones, 74, peacefully passed away of cancer, Tuesday morning, September 30, 2008 after a joyous celebration of her 74th birthday and 54th Wedding Anniversary.
She was born on September 29, 1934 to Bertran and Verna Bowman in Blackfoot Idaho. She had three siblings, Verlin, Barbara Denise (deceased) and Lila. By 1940, both Cleo''s parents had passed away leaving three living children orphans.
In May 1942, Cleo''s great aunt and uncle, Emma and George Beus, brought her to live in Clinton, Utah were she was blessed to have five big brothers, Dale, Henry, Ez, Wayne and Val. On September 18, 1943, Cleo was officially adopted.
Cleo attended schools in Davis County graduating from Davis High in 1952.
On September 29, 1954, she married Doyle Cook Jones in the Logan LDS Temple. They have lived in Roy and Hooper for 54 years.
Cleo was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served faithfully through the years in every auxiliary in the church. She has blessed many lives both young and old with her desire to touch another''s life and make a difference.
Cleo worked for most of her life retiring in 1990.
Surviving are her husband, Doyle; daughter, Tami and her husband, Jeff Yeoman, 4 grandchildren, Ambur, Annalise, J.D. and Jake, all of Hooper.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6th at 11 a.m. at the Roy South Stake Center, 5725 South 3750 West.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary 3333 West 5600 South and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., at the Stake Center.
Interment, Avon Cemetery, Avon, Utah at 3:30 p.m.
