Clifford Odean Nelson
NORTH OGDEN a" Clifford Odean Nelson, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
He was born October 12, 1931 in Brigham City, a son of Victor S. and Mary Erma Bradshaw Nelson.
On September 3, 1954, Clifford Odean married Klea Ann Tracy in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was raised and educated in Brigham City. He lived in Clearfield for 22 years and in North Ogden for 29 years.
Clifford was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings.
He served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was an electronic foreman retiring from Hill Air Force Base after 36 years of service.
Clifford Odean had a charismatic personality. He was mischievous, fun-loving and had a great sense of humor. He loved yard work, gardening, rote-tilling and motorcycles.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Applegate Home Care and Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
Surviving are his wife, Klea, of North Ogden; two sons and one daughter, Rick O. Nelson, Layton; Douglas T. Nelson, North Ogden; Julie A. Daylong, Eden; three grandchildren, Ben, Ryan and Brooke, and six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Maureen Richins, Wyoming; and Bernice Weekley, Florida.
Preceding Clifford Odean in death were his parents, one brother, Victor D. Nelson, and one son, Jeffery L. Nelson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
