Clifford Jay Park

Born to Lorin A. Park and Elva L. Harris in Ririe, ID. Jay graduated from Ririe High School, ID. He married Maxine Zaugg on May 21, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had 11 children. He attended USU, joined the Navy and retired as a Lt. JG, and served in the Naval Reserves. He also flew as a Naval Pilot in WWII. By trade Jay was a carpenter in various types of construction. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served two service missions. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, inventing, and fixing things. He took pride in his work and was very good at everything he did. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jay is survived by his wife Maxine and ten children: Marlene, Ardell, Rodney, Dale, Brenda, Tammy, Debbie, Denise, Sheri and Leanne; 33 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and one son, Darwin (DJ).

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton.
