Clifford Leo Pickett, 86, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 24, 1923, in Trenton, Missouri to Earl C. and Ethel Johnson Pickett.
On August 4, 1945, Clifford married Anne Marie Russell in Long Beach, California. He was married to his loving wife for 64 years.
He had worked for Ogden City Bus Line for 19 years and retired from the US Postal Service in 1986 after 29 years of service.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating, camping, traveling, working in the yard and woodworking in his garage. He played the harmonica and loved country music. He could jitterbug with the best of them.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Anne, a son Ronald (ReNae) Pickett, two daughters, Farla Leishman, and Dorothy (Jeff) Chuday, 11 grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Bill and Jim Pickett, and four sisters, Maxine Eubanks, Onabell Buchanan, Patty Stanger and Marilyn Mayfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Randy and Bryan, a brother, Earl Pickett, Jr., and two sisters, Audrey Houston and Vernelda Barber.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
