Clifford F. Rose Jr

Clifford F. Rose Jr. passed away from a long fought battle of congestive heart failure Saturday December 22, 2012 at the age of 88 surrounded by family. He was born on January 11, 1924 son of Clifford F. Rose Sr. and Ivy Bennetts in the small mining town of Sublet, Wyoming. He grew up playing in the hills of Western Wyoming when mining towns were booming. He was a very active young man and played the coronet in the high school band. When the U.S. was brought into World War II he joined the Navy right after high school. He served in the South Pacific Theater, on the USS Raleigh and the USS Crittenden and then after the war returned to Kemmerer, WY to marry his sweetheart Billie Barbara Clark.

He was always interested in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and when he married Billie he became a member. Looking for greater opportunity he moved to Clearfield, Utah where he raised his family. He grew in the gospel and served faithfully his whole life. He worked as a civil servant at HAFB for 25 years but his real love was being an Electrical Contractor wiring homes. He appreciated his employees and contractor friends. He always enjoyed working and did so into his seventies. He loved his family and lived his life enjoying them. He later moved to Kaysville.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 63 years, Billie; children: Stephen C. (Marsha) Rose, Ruthann K. (Brent) McDonald, and Brent C. (Elizabeth) Rose; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Hollow Ward, 1520 S. Fox Pointe Dr., Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main and at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
