CLOANN HENDRY

1946-2018

Cloann Hendry returned to her Heavenly Father’s arms, surrounded by her closest loved ones.  Cloann passed away peacefully, March 6, 2018 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, UT. at the age of 72.

Cloann is survived by her care-taking sister Karla, beloved brother Ken (Deanna), her niece, Brittany (Zach), their children; Reese & Crew (aka, “Her Babies”), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Arvin and Alice Hendry; sisters, Arvonna and Nancy; brothers, Thomas (survived by wife, Sonia), Lloyd “Pete”, and Arvin “Marty” (survived by wife, Susan) and their families.

Cloann was born March 5th, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT.  She attended Edison Elementary School, Jordan Jr. High, and West High School.  Later, she attended beauty school and became a beautician and trainer for upcoming beauticians.  Afterward, she continued her education in accounting, where she perfected her career in the accounting department for the U.S. Government.  Cloann was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and thoroughly enjoyed serving her Heavenly Father.  She devoted her love, her cooking/baking skills, and her time to family and friends.  She had a passion for the holidays, but especially the Christmas season.  She spent her free time crocheting and crafting blankets for her loved ones and reading her favorite novels.  Cloann was a world traveler; some of her favorite places to visit include; the Holy Land, Europe, and Hawaii.  She also enjoyed spending time at the salon, while having her hair and nails done on a regular basis.  During her retirement, Cloann found her ultimate happiness when she, along with her sister Karla, was able to care for their great-niece, Reese, during the day in their home.  Cloann was overjoyed to be with “her babies” on a regular basis and was thrilled to share a very close bond with them.

Cloann was known for her fiery personality, straightforward opinion, and extra sass that she brought to any occasion.  Cloann was known for having a heart of gold, a genuine personality, and lack of judgment towards anyone she met.   She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

The family would like to send a special “Thank You” to the medical team at Lakeview Hospital, as they graciously cared for Cloann in her final days--Your care and kindness is endlessly appreciated.

Cloann will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 PM.  Friends and family may attend the Graveside Service at Wellsville Cemetery, 400 N 200 E, Wellsville, UT, 84339.  Arrangements under the care of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.  Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
