KAYSVILLE a€" Clyde Bob Dark Sr., 80, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 7, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas the son of Nathan Clyde and Elva Miller Dark. Clyde was reared in Port Arthur, TX until age 18. He moved to Port Neches, TX for 32 years and moved to Kaysville in 1998 where he resided until his death.

Clyde served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict.

He married Zulah F. Patterson on April 19, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Kansas.

Clyde joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on May 28, 1966. He has held various positions, Branch Clerk, Sunday School President, counselor in Bishopric, High Councilman, Bishop, High Priest Group Leader, Scout Master, Stake Family History Director, and an Ordinance worker in the Dallas and Bountiful Temples.

He was a Mason and loved the youth of the church and dancing. Clyde loved being with his family.

Surviving are his wife Zulah F. Dark, Kaysville; son Clyde Bob Dark Jr., Kaysville; daughter Debra Ann Nope, Kaysville, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and brother, James Dark, Arlington, TX.

Preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Katrina Nope Curtis and brother Nathan Dark.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Main Street LDS Chapel, 500 So. Main Street, Kaysville. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
