Clyde Dearl Sharp

Clyde Dearl Sharp, 89, passed peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017.
He was born September 21, 1927, in Smithfield, Utah, the son of Alvin and Lorna Sharp.
On September 30, 1948, Clyde married Clarice Bodily in the Logan LDS Temple.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Ward Clerk for many years, Scoutmaster, High Priest Group Leader and Home Teacher. He was an Ogden Temple Worker and served a full-time mission with his wife serving six months in Los Angeles Temple and 12 months in Atlanta Temple.
He retired from HAFB as a hydraulic mechanic where he earned several awards for his innovative ideas.
He enjoyed serving, gardening, farming and being with his family.
Clyde is survived by his wife, children Ned (Jeanette) Sharp, Dearl (Adell) Sharp, Maxine (Dennis) Jones, Marjean Lake, Susan Brown, Glen (Barbara) Sharp, Dixie (Martin) Stott, and son-in-law Alan White, 33 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly White; sons-in-law Michael Epling, Vernal Brown and Preston Lake.
He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at the Clinton Church, 1708 W. 800 N. Friends may visit with family Tuesday, January 10, 6-8 p.m., Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. and Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden.
