Clyde Stark, 74, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born May 29, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to William Arthur and Belva Birch Stark.

On June 23, 1956, Clyde married Ann Marie Johnson in Preston, Idaho.

He was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad as a machinist.

Clyde was a member of the LDS Church and served as an Elder in the Lorin Farr 2nd Ward.

He was a Freedom Rider and enjoyed working with the disabled children, teaching them to ride horses at the fairgrounds. He loved horses, taking care of his yard, lying in the sun, fixing up his trucks and his work at the fairgrounds.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Ann Marie; five sons, Stan (Sue) Stark, Milton; Don (Pat) Stark, West Haven; Jay Haakon (Babbette) Stark, West Weber; John Jeff (Dena) Stark, Ogden; Kirk (Penny) Stark, Ogden; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Stark, Riverdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Tara Jean Stark.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 26th at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lindquistmortuary.com
