In the early hours of July 23, 2018, our dear husband and father passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Clyde was born in Montpelier, Idaho on November 14, 1930, a son of Lee and Helen (Beard) Thornock. He spent his childhood in Idaho and moved to Ogden, Utah at the age of 9. He graduated from Ogden High in 1948, and enlisted in the Navy serving at sea and in San Diego before returning home to Ogden.

He married his sweetheart Faye Isabelle Averett on August 30, 1950. Clyde and Faye have been married for 68 years they have lived both in Ogden and Roy, Utah and raised 3 daughters.

Clyde worked in the paint and glass business for over 3 decades and after a change of careers retired from the Federal Government in 1995. Clyde and Faye enjoyed retirement traveling in their motor home where they spend time in Yuma, Arizona, every year a place where they had many interests and good friends. Along with Clyde's love of travel, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends; as well as, reading good books.

Clyde will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Faye Thornock; bother Garth (Sheri) Thornock; his daughters: Debbie (Kent) Bingham, Kathy Lee Doran, and Lisa (Mike) Hansen; granddaughters: Joanie (Jason) Slatter, Krystal Doran, and Mikaila Hansen; grandsons: Jeff Bingham, Riley Doran, Andrew (Melissa) Doran, and Luke Hansen, and his 11 great grandchildren.

A mass will be celebrated in memory of Clyde on Saturday August 18, 2018 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, Utah. Friends may visit with the family from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. prior to mass at the church.

Services entrusted to Lindquist's Roy Mortuary.
