Colby "Cat" James Holden

Colby “Cat” James Holden passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the age of 22. He was born on August 25, 1990 to Stephanie and Tim Holden. He graduated from Fremont High School in 2009 and then attended school at the Ogden Applied Technology College where he studied welding and diesel mechanics. Colby was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Colby loved our Savior deeply and wanted nothing more than to please his Heavenly Father. Colby, know that you are so dearly loved by all that knew you! You are the choicest spirit of a kind Heavenly Father that just for a short time honored us with having you in our lives. He was born with strengths very few people have. He was so very kind and loved unconditionally. If he loved you, you knew it! He would loyally fight to the death for who he loved and what he believed in. He had a pure heart of gold and always recognized and hurt for people less fortunate than him. There was not a time he would not stop to give his last dollar to someone in need of help. Colby brightened every room he walked into with an infectious giggle and the love of being a practical joker. He was a true animal lover, I think he owned every animal alive but finally found his true companion and best friend in his dog, Diesel. Colby was a true music lover to the core; music soothed his soul and brightened his mood always. One of Colby's happiest moments is when he had an ice cold Mountain Dew in his hand. He was so easily pleased by the simple things of life. I love you son, my heart aches with an incurable brokenness that will never heal until we meet again. Thank you for being my son and for daily kindness and concern you always had for me. I know you loved me and words will never express my deep love for you. I promise you son, I will be with you again and what a sweet reunion it will be! Until we meet again know how deeply you’re loved and missed, you will ALWAYS be with me! Colby is survived by his mother and stepfather, Stephanie and Justin Nielsen; siblings, Chelsey Holden, Macoy Nielsen, Maguire Nielsen, and Makaylee and Brady Beal; father and stepmother, Tim and Janell Holden; sisters, Hallee Holden and Laynee Holden; grandparents, Roger and Judy Stokes, Tim and Amelia Holden, and Mike and Shelly Adams; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his favorite cousin and best friend, Josh Roberts; nephew, Stetzon Stokes; and his great-grandparents. All are invited to attend the Celebration of Colby’s Life that will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, Roy. The viewing will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
