COLLEEN GREENHALGH LYMAN
1927-2018
BOUNTIFUL, UT- Our mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away September 12, 2018. Born December 27, 1927 in Bountiful, Utah to Herman Lees and Ardella Greenhalgh. Colleen married the love of her life on November 12, 1947 to William Richard Lyman in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years; her three children, Gary Richard Lyman (Marsha) Oregon, Debbie Pedersen (Gary) Syracuse, Gail William Lyman (Rhonda), Sandy; also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed crocheting afghans, making quilts and sewing for her children and grandchildren. Colleen and Dick were accomplished gardeners and had received numerous awards from Bountiful City for the Beautification Award, including most beautiful yard! As a homemaker, her home was immaculate and well organized.
Colleen enjoyed being a host with her husband for the Bountiful Temple Open House. She was well known in the workforce at Dick’s Market in the bakery, where she worked for many years. She also worked in the Davis School Lunch program for 9 nine years.
We would like to think Legacy House of Bountiful and Hospice for the wonderful care they tenderly gave her.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, at the Bountiful 13th Ward Chapel, 1365 N. 650 E. Bountiful. Family and friends may visit Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday prior to the services at the church. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr. Bountiful, UT.
