KAYSVILLE – Colleen Phillips Scothern, 61, passed away peaceful Friday, July 5, 2013. She was born March 29, 1952 in Ogden, Utah to Vince and Ruth Keller Phillips. She spent the majority of her life in Kaysville, UT. In 1980 she married Roger D. Scothern, the love of her life.
Colleen was a very spiritual person with Christianity as her main faith and believing God gave us all a guardian angel to guide us through life’s trials.
Colleen had a variety of hobbies and interests but with a great talent for crafting, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting. She spread her love by spending many selfless hours on hand-made unique gifts, a talent we all will never forget. She loved camping and spending time with her family any chance she could.
She is survived by her son, Travis D. Scothern, step-son Chad Scothern, and daughter, Amber Scothern Ohrn, step-daughter, Josie Scothern Foster. Also surviving are three brothers; Thomas Phillips, Marshall Phillips and Kevin Phillips, and two sisters; Sylvia Hillaker and Lana Brigance.
We are blessed to have felt the love she gave us all. She is now in the arms of those who passed before her and who greeted her upon her passing.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Kaysville. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
