Colleen Faye Weber
June 4, 1946 ~ February 17, 2014
Colleen Faye Weber, 67, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. The oldest of five children she was born on June 4, 1946 to Alfred and Loraine Hokamp Bierschenk in Randolph, NE. She was raised in North Eastern Nebraska where she was active in 4-H, livestock, cooking, and sewing. She graduated from Randolph High School Class of 1964.
She married Lowell Tilton Weber on December 24, 1973 in Elko, NV. Lowell passed away on August 4, 2008. Colleen served her many friends at the Village Inn Pancake House for many years and was well loved by her many customers and co-workers.
In her youth she attended St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She was socially active throughout her adult life. She belonged to a bowling league for four decades. She had a very adventurous spirit and enjoyed life. She experienced zip-lining, jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, white-water rafting, and walking with bears at Katmai Bear Sanctuary. Colleen loved to travel and particularly loved Italy, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also enjoyed trips to Wendover, Nebraska Cornhusker Volleyball and Football games, cheering on her Green Bay Packers, and hosting “her house, her rules” poker.
She was charismatic, talkative, stubborn, sassy, and charming. Once you met her you loved her, because you knew she loved you. She was an “adopted mom” to many people, and always had an open home with Midwest hospitality. She was an amazing cook. “Mom we love and miss you. You are the strongest woman we know.”
Colleen is survived by her children, Mike J. Weber, North Ogden; and Julie A. Weber, Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Cheyenne Weber, North Ogden; Tryson Weber, Rimrock, AZ; and Jaycee Hachmiester, North Ogden; brother, Gaylen (Jeanie) Bierschenk, Randolph, NE; sisters, Marsha (Jim) Louthan, Stanton, NE; and Kathy (Bob) Snodgrass, Clearwater, NE; and her one year old puppy, “Bear”
