Connie Rae Evans

Connie Rae Evans was born September 4, 1932 in Lehi, Utah to Afton Jens and Marvel Taylor Peterson.  She passed away on December 31, 2020 in Bountiful, Utah.  She grew up in Lehi, the second of three children.  She married Lawrence Evans on July 22, 1949 and together they had three children, who they also raised in Lehi.

She loved to travel, play bridge, and do needlepoint.  She worked for the telephone company as a switchboard operator and later got into banking, working for the State Bank of Lehi, Prudential Federal, Wells Fargo and Chase.  She retired in Arizona and enjoyed many bridge games with the ladies in her neighborhood.

The family would like to thank the staff at Milford Memorial Hospital and Heritage Place Assisted Living for the kind and loving care that they gave to Connie over the past few years.

She is survived by son Robert Evans (Ann) and daughter Lesa Evans and six grandchildren--Kyle (Kelli), Travis and Rachel Evans, Ashley Parks, Zac and Whitney Hamilton and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, son Steve, and grandchildren Joshua Parks and Dylan Hamilton.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Lehi City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
