Connie Hokanson Price

October 20, 1930 ~ April 30, 2017

Connie Hokanson Price, 86, passed away on April 30, 2017.  She was born on October 20, 1930 in Ogden, UT, the third child to Archibald Olaf and Adena Leona Stoker Hokanson.  Connie attended Ogden City schools, graduating from Ogden High School in 1948, and later from Weber State University in 1986.

Connie married the love of her life Glade S. Price at the Logan LDS Temple in 1951.  Together they raised a family of seven children, four girls and three boys.

Connie worked at various jobs, including bookkeeper for Ogden Egg Company, which her father owned and operated, and as a secretary/receptionist at Lindquist Mortuary in North Ogden.  Connie was an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life and served in various positions including Ward Primary and Young Women’s President, and Stake Relief Society President.  Connie and Glade also served as welfare service missionaries at the Ogden LDS Employment Center.

Surviving are her children, Celeste (Ronald) Taylor, Orem, UT; Deborah (Rex) Mumford, Huntsville, UT; Adair (Scott) Macfarlane, Farmington, UT; Gregory (Lynita) Price, Farr West, UT; Sterling (Shellee) Price, Layton, UT; Laura (Craig) Syme, Richmond, KY; Darwin (Suzy) Price, Layton, UT; and foster daughter Sally Clayton, Ogden, UT.  Connie had 31 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, with 3 on the way.

Connie is also survived by three siblings, Beth Kendell, Ogden, UT; LouJean Wilson, Eden, UT; and Russell (Doris) Hokanson, Parker, CO.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glade S. Price and sister, Beverly Carlson.

Connie’s family gives our thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Inspiration Hospice and Fairfield Village Assisted Living for their loving and tender care of our mother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the LDS Missionary Fund, Primary Children’s Hospital or the Hospice Foundation of America.
