Connie Jean Simpson

Connie Jean Simpson, 81, of Hooper, Utah, took her last breath Sunday, January 23, 2022.

She was born in Ogden, Utah on April 22, 1940, to Lawrence Darrell Anderson and Mildred Matthias Anderson. Her brothers are Blaine (deceased), Richard (deceased) and Boyd (deceased) and her sisters are Gwynne and LaRene (deceased). She spent her childhood growing up in Ogden, UT where she flourished educationally and socially.

She attended Ogden High School and Weber State College where she obtained her bachelor’s in education. She met her husband Dallas Read Simpson and married him on September 29, 1963. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple on October 13, 1972.They initially resided in Ogden before moving into their forever home in Hooper, UT. She welcomed three children into this world Brett Simpson (deceased), Shanna Roueche (deceased) and Tryge (Tammy) Simpson. She also welcomed four additional children into her home, Michelle DeLaMare, Scott (Claudia) Simpson, Dana (Scott) Lee, and David (Kim) Simpson.

She was employed at Roosevelt Elementary where she provided education for First and Second Grade children. This was an absolute joy in her life to see children strive for excellence at the infancy of their education.

She was a mother, grandmother and friend to all those around her. She was a collector of many holiday decorations. An avid Utah Jazz fan where she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her fiery drive and demeanor provided everyone she met with determination to strive to be better and stand by your beliefs. She enjoyed her various callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Including her children, Connie leaves behind 22 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday, January 28, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
