Constance “Connie” Rae Wayment, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 1, 1950, in Sidney, Nebraska, to Elisie Ann (Deaver) and Charles Vance Innes. Connie brought light and love to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Connie spent her early years in Nebraska before moving to Boise, Idaho, where she completed her high school education. Her journey took her through various roles in life and career, including higher education pursuits and professional ventures, before she settled in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. It was there that she met the love of her life, Tim Wayment. The couple married on April 12, 1987, beginning a joyful and adventurous life together that spanned decades.
She had a special gift for sales, particularly in the furniture industry, where her creativity and passion for design truly shined. She found joy in helping her clients turn their houses into homes, working closely with them to create spaces that felt personal and inviting. Her warmth and talent made her stand out, earning her well-deserved recognition, including accolades from the Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association.
After retiring, Connie embraced her love for travel, especially to Mexico, where she found serenity and joy near the beach, her “happy place.” Back home, she poured her heart into her garden, nurturing vibrant flowers that brought her endless delight each summer. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she lived as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, embodying kindness, generosity, and grace in all she did. Her greatest delight was nurturing and caring for her family.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Wayment; her sons, Chris (Stephanie) of Gilbert, AZ and T.J. (Vanessa) of Clinton, UT; and her cherished grandsons, Jordy and Drew. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and treasured lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elsie Innes; her in-laws, Owen and Ruth Wayment; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all held a special place in her heart.
