Cora Mae Frew, 89, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 11, 1923 in Hooper, Utah to Clarence E. and Elizabeth Mae Venable McDonald.
On January 7, 1942, Cora married Billy B. Frew. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 28, 1971. Billy preceded her in death on June 2, 2008.
She was an excellent seamstress and loved sewing, knitting and quilting. She loved road trips with her husband and camping and fishing at Flaming Gorge. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and friends.
Cora was an active member of the LDS Church and served a Service Mission with her husband. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her children, William M. (Judy) Frew, West Point; Peggie Lynn Frew, Roy; Carol Sedgwick, Kaysville; Pamela (David) Buckley, Syracuse; 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Roy McDonald and sister, Norma Finch.
The family expresses sincere appreciation and thanks to the entire staff of angels at Family Tree, West Point and Hospice of Utah.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16th at 11 a.m. at the West Point 14th Ward Chapel, 2852 West 300 North.
The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
