Cornelius "Neill" Meister, 78, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born January 14, 1934 in Deventer, Netherlands to William Meister, Sr. and Cornelia Bloom.

He lived in California, Long Island, NY and resided in Roy, Utah for 31 years. He was a member of the Army Reserves.

On June 22, 1962, Neill married Judy K. Butler in Ogden, Utah.

He was employed as a chemist at FMC and Thiokol and retired after 20 years from Weber School District.

Neill served in the Roy City Planning Commission.

He was a person who would help anyone no matter the need. He was a handyman and always knew how to fix whatever was broken. He enjoyed golfing, RV'' ing with his family and just hanging with the grandkids, Kenneth, Cody, Chaz, Breann, Markee, Karesse, Taeler, Hunter, Jake, Trent and great-grandkids, Mack, Rylee, Ryker, Harly and Xander.

Neill is survived by his wife, Judy; their children, Roger N. (Heidi) Meister, North Ogden; Shelly A. (Dino) Melton, Roy; Kimberlee J. (Jason) Johnson, Roy; Terri L. (Brody) Butler, Layton; and children from a previous marriage, Scott, TX; Dennis, UT; Bobby, CA; and Melanie Casper, AZ; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Betty, Creatia, Hannie and Melissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Jan, Pete, Jopi, Bill and a sister, Tina.

The family will meet with friends on Friday, August 17th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Graveside services will immediately follow at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
