Cory Bowdring Lake

Cory Bowdring Lake, of Layton, Utah, age 42, passed away at his home on November 27, 2015.

Cory was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on May 3, 1973 to Gene and Judith Lake.  He resided with his fiancé, Chantel Jorgensen, with whom he dated and loved for 4 years. Cory graduated from Layton High School in 1991. He helped establish and build the family business of 35 years, “Lake Ventilation, Inc.”   He married Jolene Willard in 2000, and together had two beautiful children, Hailey and Haiden Lake. Cory then started his own business, “Red Rock Ventilation” and there was self employed until his death.

Cory is survived by his children, Hailey and Haiden Lake, mother, Judith Lake, step-father Michael, siblings, Randy Lake, Richard Lake, and Catherine Lake, Scott McClarin, Jelon McClarin, his nephews, Adam Lake, Carson Lake, Isaiah Hub, Kyle, Liam and Jeremiah Hub, fiance, Chantel Jorgensen, his nieces, Crystal Lake, and Alyssa Lake.

Cory is preceded in death by his father and idol, Gene Frederick Lake.  Remembered with love by his aunts, uncles, cousins, far and wide.

Cory loved being with his friends and family. He had a unsurpassable sense of humor, and the biggest heart of any one person. Cory also was the faithful fan of the Pittsburg Steelers, and let the world know it!

Cory will be remembered in our hearts for eternity!!

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life, will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Saturday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

Donations for Cory will be accepted in lieu of flowers @ Wells Fargo Bank.
