LAYTON – Craig Caldwell Coyner, 87, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 of natural causes. He was born April 7, 1921 to William Craig and Ruth Florence Caldwell Coyner in Bend, Oregon. He married Betty Louise Cooper in Salem, OR; she passed away in January 1972. He married Nedra Jane Lucherini on November 3, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Craig served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He retired after serving 55 years as an attorney. He was a member of the Rotary. He was also an avid fisherman.
Craig is survived by his wife Nedra; sons, Craig C. Coyner, Jr., Bend, OR; David C. (Penny) Coyner, Springville, UT; Tad (Linda) Coyner, Sedona, AZ; daughter, Kristen Coyner, Olympia, WA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Phil and David, and daughter Merrie Jill Coyner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Layton South Stake Center, 505 S. 1000 W. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, and Wednesday, from 9:45 to 10:45 at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
