Craig Farr Feeny

February 2, 1951 ~ August 21, 2017

As the moon passed over the sun in the Great American Eclipse, Craig Farr Feeny passed away peacefully in his home in Tallahassee, Florida on August 21, 2017 with his wife of 36 years, Shannon Storm, at his side. Craig was born February 2, 1951 to parents Catherine “Kay” Farr Feeny and Dr. Thomas Mercer Feeny.

He attended Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High in 1969. He attended the University of Utah where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

He married Shannon Storm on August 22, 1981, and they moved to Florida where he earned his Masters Degree in Marine Biology at Florida State University and became a fan of Florida State Football. Craig was employed by the State of Florida EPA as an Environmental Specialist until his retirement.

He and Shannon were blessed with a delightful daughter, Caitlin Marie Feeny, who was his pride and joy.

Craig was a special person, a kind and gentle soul, loved and respected by all who knew him. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, and at the seaside.

He loved to swim and excelled in underwater swimming since he was two years old. He enjoyed watching old movies, and cataloging them for his outstanding collection. His garden was amazing with fabulous plants and palm trees.

He loved conversing with friends and family and watching FSU games with his wife and dear friends. He showed valiant courage and patience in his 28 year battle with his debilitating disease without complaint.

Craig is survived by his wife, and his daughter, Caiti (Brad) Wolfe; his mother, brothers, and sisters, Thomas L. Feeny, Catherine F. Labatte, Julie (Larry) Huras, and Scott (Elaine) Feeny; his brothers-in-law, Terry (Carleen) Storm and Scott Storm; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
