Craig Phillip Stegen

Craig Phillip Stegen, a beloved member of the community, passed away on April 23, 2024. He was born on September 30, 1959, in Ogden, Utah to Carl Louis Stegen and Elisabeth Woltjer Stegen. Throughout his life, Craig found joy in various hobbies such as fly-fishing, hunting, riding side by sides, woodworking, and helping others with various projects.

Craig's dedication to his work was evident throughout his successful career journey. He served as a Master Technician for Holley and spent 33 years as a Masonry Foreman with Rocky Mountain Masonry. His talent and commitment were truly admirable, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. In addition to his professional achievements, Craig valued education and graduated from Roy High School. He took pride in his work and was highly skilled in his field.

Craig married the love of his life Carol Schilling on 04/24/1981. Together they raised 3 children in Hooper, Utah. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed the family parties and campouts with all his extended family members. He was also very patriotic.

Craig will be deeply missed by his surviving family members and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carol, sons Cory, Brian (Jenny), daughter Tara, grandchildren Taylor, Cache, Revv, Harland, and Ellianna. He is also survived by his mother Elisabeth, and two sisters, Debbie, and Connie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl and a brother, Chris.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Hooper Park Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5601 S 6100 W, Hooper UT. The service will begin at 3 p.m. to commemorate and honor the wonderful life of Craig Phillip Stegen. His presence will be greatly missed but his legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
