Craig R. Stephens March 23, 1947 a€" August 5, 2012

Craig Stephens, of Roy passed away August 5, 2012. Craig was born in Ogden, Utah on March 23, 1947 to Rulon C. and Meriam Pledger Stephens. Craig met his wife Karen Martin through friends in high school. They married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 3, 1965. Their marital bliss was interrupted by the Vietnam War, where Craig served as Gunner on a Helicopter in the U.S. Army; he received special recognition including the Bronze Star Air Medal along with other medals.

Following the war, he came home to his beautiful wife and brand new baby girl, Lisa. He graduated from Stevens-Henager College with a bachelor''s degree in business Management. Craig and Karen settled with their growing family in Roy, Utah where Craig was employed for 35 years at HAFB. He loved his work in Production Management, missiles, which resulted in numerous awards throughout his years of dedication and service.

Craig is survived by his wife of 47 years; four children and their spouses: Lisa and Paul James, Dana and Steve Degroot, Janna and Neal Coulter, Brian Stephens; 10 grandchildren; mother, Meriam; and three sisters, Linda and Ed Collins, Janeen Huss, and Lynette and Nevin Heslop. He was preceded in death by his dad, Rulon C. Stephens.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
