Craig Phillip Wyjack, better known as Pastor Craig, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of July 15, 2024. He will never be forgotten. Anyone who knew Craig will tell you about his generous smile, his loyalty, his caring heart, and his Midwest charm. They will also tell you to prepare yourself for at least - at least – two dad jokes. Pastor Craig always left the room a little lighter than he found it.
Craig loved God, his wife Stephanie, his children, friends, the people in his church, and the cats – all the cats. So it might better to say “God first, Stephanie second, cats third”, …or maybe “God first, cats second, Stephanie third?”
The one thing that remained first in his life was his love for God. He was a great Man of God who truly loved God’s Word. After graduating from Rhema Bible Center, God placed him in North Park Church in Riverdale, Utah as their pastor, where he ministered for the past 20 years. Being “Pastor Craig” was his lifelong calling. The people in his congregation meant the world to him.
He served proudly for 22 years in the US Air Force, and retired as a MSGT. He could tell you – and often would – what type of plane was flying overhead just by the sound it made.
He also loved woodworking, watching birds, and serving at the pleasure of his cat, Queen Isabel, who was a kitten he had rescued from the parking lot of North Park Church. Although the last years brought him physical challenges, he endured it with steadfastness and very few complaints – which was true to his nature.
He leaves precious memories to his loving wife, Stephanie; his daughter, Monique; son, Josh (Cheyanne Cobbs); granddaughter, Julian Moon (Casey Mullarkey); sister, Louann (Craig); brothers-in-law, Skip and Steve; sister-in-law, Susan; nieces and nephews; his church family; many friends; and the many of people all around the globe all still smiling from his silly jokes.
He will be dearly missed by us all. We will always remember him. There will never be another Pastor Craig. Our love for him only makes our hearts bigger and better, and we are sustained and comforted knowing he is home with Jesus. We can’t wait to be reunited!
