Cresencia Gonzales Cloward
SUNSET a" Cresencia Gonzales Cloward, 84, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 surrounded by her family after a courageous 13 year battle with Alzheimer''s.
She was born April 26, 1926 in Gallina, New Mexico to Amarante and Petreta Chevez Gonzales.
On August 22, 1959, she married Dean L. Cloward in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1998. They resided in Payson moving to Sunset in 1962.
Mom and dad enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with family. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She spent many days quilting. Mom was a hard worker and immaculate housekeeper.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cresencia is survived by her five children: Tony (Jill) Vigil, Mable (Phil) Christensen, Clodie (Carol) Vigil, Tio Vigil, Priscilla (Jay) Offret, a very special niece Lina Gonzales, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cresencia was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, her parents, nine siblings and a very special grandson, Cameron Vigil.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Payson City Cemetery.
Friends may visit family Friday at 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
